Target Audience

The target  audience for this conference includes specialists in rheumatology, physiatry, orthopedics, and sports medicine. Fellows, residents, and other physicians with an interest in this topic may also attend.

Learning Objectives

Upon the completion of the educational activity participants should be better able to:

  • describe all physical principles of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
  • identify anatomy of the skin and subcutaneous fat and its ultrasound pattern.
  • identify anatomy of fascia and aponeurosis and it ultrasound pattern.
  • recognize the anatomy of muscles and tendons and their ultrasound pattern.
  • recognize the anatomy of ligaments, menisci, articular cartilage, synovial membranes, capsules, and bones and their ultrasound patterns.
  • classify peripheral nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic nodes.
  • demonstrate injection techniques utilized ultrasound guidance.
  • explain medical billing for musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections.
